Ivory Rose Academy

In a world where monarchs still rule their lands, lies a school where children of royals are sent to learn. Ivory Rose Academy is a school for princes, princess, dukes and duchesses. They are taught how to govern, speak, how to act accordingly in public and the history of their beloved land. Just like any school it is filled with cliques, friends, enemies, scandals, and lovers. Their parents still have some control in the young royals lives whether they choose to acknowledge it or not. The school is run by the Mrs. Clarissa Ivory, house of the Rose.  Royals At The School
Taehyun Yi|21|Prince of South Korea|FC Chagmin Shim
Being the only son in the South Korean royal family, Taehyun knew he had a lot to live up to.  Not that anyone would let him forget that if it had ever slipped his mind.  His father is a great king as was his father before him.  Both were responsible for great advances made by their country and Taehyun has gotten used to the idea of living in their shadows.  He thinks he’ll be a good king, but he’s accepted that he won’t be the best.
Despite his slightly pessimistic outlook, Taehyun has always been very competitive with others of his age.  He might not be able to match his father or his grandfather, but he won’t be beaten by anyone else.  Much like his sister, Minjung, he thrived under the private tutelage he was provided with.  Mediocrity was never accepted from him.  Not by his tutors, not by his parents, and not by himself.
Taehyun’s personality is a far cry from his younger sister’s sunny disposition.  He’s shrewd, calculating, and in general he doesn’t much care about other people.  Part of this is due to his introverted nature, but another part of it is due to the way others have treated him over the years.  There was always someone who wanted something from him because of his title.  He was well aware of that fact and only once, to disastrous ends, did he let himself forget that.  Behind his perfect manners and pleasant smile is a snarky, biting wit.  Those who manage to get past Taehyun’s wall will find a steadfast and loyal friend.  Few they might be, he is extremely protective of those he cares about.  Minjung is the best example of this.  The reason he convinced his parents to send him to Ivory rose was so that he could look after her.

Daphne Fitzroy  | 20 | Duchess of Angoulême, France | House of Pear | FC Felicity Jones |TAKEN |   Anything she wanted was given to her and without even the mildest of consideration. Daphne hated the rich lifestyle that she grew up in. Most would think that she was crazy, but the girl found luxuries to be overwhelming. She enjoyed the simple things life had to offer; the sun rising and setting, the sound of laughter being carried in the wind, and the feeling of the wind kissing her cheek in the summer air. Daphne’s life was a blessing, she knew that, and though she might enjoy the simpler things she never took what she had for granted. It was just that materialistic ideals were never once hers.
Growing up, Daphne excelled in school mainly because she loved to read and write. She knew a lot of random facts that often helped her with a wide variety of subjects that she had to take as she moved up in levels of her education. Her parents were proud of her and often showed her off; saying that they had the perfect daughter and she would turn out to be something great. There was always pressure on the young girl’s shoulders. Mostly it was caused by herself putting the weight of everything she did on her slim frame. Too stubborn to ask for help when she needed it, always choosing to do things on her own, it was in her opinion the only way that the task would be accomplished to everyone’s standards. Daphne felt that everything she did was expected of her, but she never desired it. Constant hours spent slaving over her father and mother’s estates, keeping the financial system in check, while trying to manage a social life. Daphne never had that many friends, she was always too busy planning events, attending her uncle’s and aunt’s, the King and Queen of France, galas and parties. Her life was work, family, and down time, all in that order. When she wasn’t busying herself with different organizations or helping her father and mother run a dukedom she was spending time with her three cousins, Hannah, Auguste, and Audrey, trying to hold onto what little relationships she had.
Daphne had a friend outside of her family, a boy she had met her Junior year of high school who transferred to the Parisian-posh school that she attended. His name was Trevor Burgundy, a millionaire’s son whose life revolved around the party scene. People never understood how the two of the became friends. She was the bookworm who was constantly focused on school, he was the party guy who was known to become so pissed (drunk) that he could never remember the night before. But, the two balanced each other out. Trevor taught Daphne how to loosen up, she wouldn’t allow herself to become hammered, only one drink and not on a school night, and she was able to teach him the value of an education. It was almost as if they were meant to find one another, help the other realize that you can’t just have one thing without the other, there had to be a balance in your life or else you might just drive yourself mad. Just a year of friendship had already started to relieve the pressure Daphne put on herself. She realized how unhealthy it was, that she was only causing herself harm by taking on too many tasks and not asking for help than good.
It was the end of her senior year, there was only a week left until finals and they would be graduating just a few days later, that she noticed his absence. In the past he was known for skipping school, his hangovers being too much to handle, but he really had started changing for the better that she grew worried about him when he didn’t show up for school. She texted him and called, but there was no answer. Daphne thought she was only just exaggerating the situation, overly worried like she always was that she just convinced herself he was hungover. But when a week passed and he still wasn’t there she grew even more worried. Stopping by his house to see if he was alright, his parents were never home so they weren’t much help, even getting her father to have one of his agents/bodyguards look into where he was. A little more than a week later they found Trevor’s body in the English channel, he died of drowning due to heavy toxication in his blood stream. Daphne was a mess when she found out the news, but she knew she had to put on a brave face. She started to revert back to her normal habits. Focusing on her studies, her commitments, her family, she thought that if she could busy herself she wouldn’t have to think of the loss of her dear friend, wouldn’t have to feel the pain that came with a loss. Everything she did somewhat worked, but there was always that gnawing feeling in her stomach whenever she thought back to her last days of high school. Daphne is quiet, preferring the company of her studies over trying to socialize at parties.   She really only hangs out with her cousins, and finds it hard to let people who aren’t her blood into her life. She did that before and she lost them, she wasn’t going to be that attached to someone ever again. It is her first year at Ivory Rose Academy. Her parents thinking it would be best for her to be around her family, and they hoped that she would be able to make relationships with the other royals, but it isn’t so easy. Stuck in a place with her cousins as her friends, surrounded by at least a good education system, Daphne tries to continue on the life she has found to be her comfort zone, knowing that is might just be the only life she leads.

Joaquina Santos-Dumont | 21 | Duchess of São Paulo |FC: Kristen Stewart |
Ever since Joaquina was young, she was always controlled by her parents with their strict rules, she wasn’t allowed to do anything out of their sight, it was like living in a prison cell with her parents. She wasn’t spoiled by them, they wanted her to go through a normal childhood, and made her learn to accept the fact that her parents weren’t going to let the girl get her own way all the time. She has had a strong personality ever since she learned how to speak; it was the only thing that people would recognize her as her parents’ child. When her folks said “no”, she would argue to the point where she would get herself grounded, she was only 6 years old then and they were much older than her. There was no way she could win an argument with her father having the same strong personality as him. The only thing she was allowed to out of school was reading, sumba dancing, and occasionally go out with her friends. She developed a hobby out of her reading, she found it as a way to pass the time when she was stuck at home. She was never into the fictional aspects of literature, she saw it as a false hope for her as she grew older. The stories of the girl making a name for herself and escaping her dreadful life never seemed possible to her, so she read biographies, and mysteries. She fell in love with the American character, Nancy Drew, and her capability to solve mysteries that was affecting the world around her. Now that was a girl she could look up to, not some silly princess who waits in a tower for her prince. Her love of biographical novels led Joaquina, or Ina as her sister and close friends referred to her as, to want to pursue a career in News Media. She was the type of girl who focused on real life, more of a pessimist than an optimist she knew that she could research and report the news without sugar coating what was going on, that is if she ever gets the chance.
Her parents had always pushed her into doing what they wanted her to do, and one of those things was learning to Sumba. A traditional dance in her mother’s home, her mother thought it would be beneficial if her daughter learned the art of the dance, since she herself learned it when she was just a young girl. It was something that her mother wanted them to share, but Ina absolutely hated it. There was no Brazilian rhyme flowing through her veins, unlike her sister who seemed to have that ethnic heritage flowing through her. It looked like Ina was more French than anything remotely considered Brazilian. Both her and her sister inherited their father’s pale skin, while the dark locks they got from both sides of the family. Joaquina never wanted to disappoint her mother, considering how much it meant to her that she was being apart of her Brazilian roots that she never found the heart to tell her how much she hated it. So she spent 5 years learning the dreaded dance, no rhyme in her body, she always managed to be awkward and stiff with each movement. The only good thing that came out of those five years was meeting her best friend, and eventually her girlfriend, Esmerald. A true Brazilian beauty with her tan skin, dark locks, and deep brown eyes that you couldn’t help but look at it when you spoke with her. The two quickly became friends, Esmerald becoming the only person that knew how much she hated dancing. Esmerald was the daughter of a Lord of Brazil and it made it easier for the two of them to hangout with one another. Attending the same school, always in the same class, the two were inseparable.  It was until their start of high school that Joaquina started to develop more than friendship feelings for Esmerald. Esmerald had always known she was gay, but Joaquina wasn’t so sure. Her first kiss was with a boy in one of her classes and she had felt butterflies when he kissed her, but the same thing happened whenever she was around Esmerald. She was confused about what she was and who she liked that she hadn’t stopped the impulse to kiss Esmerald when they hung out in their room like they always did. She was curious about what it would be like, and she could never stopped staring at the girl’s lips. Esmerald understood her problem with her parents, and was always there for her to talk to, because it was the purpose of having a friend, to be there for someone whenever they needed each other. It seemed only natural that the two should be more than just friends, that the feelings they had for one another was more than just a simple experiment to piss Ina’s parent’s off, it meant something more.
The two had been friends since they six and dated all the way up till they were seventeen. Esmerald grew jealous of Joaquina’s relationships with her make friends and fellow classmates, Ina’s girlfriend just couldn’t understand that she had feelings for both males and females, it always seemed that Esmerald just wanted Ina for herself. So, the two parted ways, their relationship as friends and as girlfriend and girlfriend ended. For the past four years, Joaquina has been dating both males and females, none of her relationship have ever seemed to be as long as her first one, but she doesn’t have a preference for who she dates. Her strong personality has often gotten her into trouble throughout the years. Her  witty and sarcastic comments would either make people laugh, or people to dislike her, but people should know to never take it seriously, since she never really think before she speaks to anyone. She argued with her parents a lot more during her high school years, because she was growing up and she rebelled against her parents, whatever they told her to do, she did the exact opposite. That time of her life wasn’t one of her fondest, but it made her parents realize that she wasn’t a little girl anymore and that they can’t keep making her do things.
Her parents have always known about Joaquina’s love for both males and females and they accepted it. This was the one thing that shocked her when they told her that they still loved her. She had always thought they would disapprove, but knowing that they would still always care about her made her want to amend her relationship with them when she turned nineteen. It is her first year at Ivory Rose, her parents had sent her off to a private school in Brazil that only taught the nobility of that country, so she is familiar with everything that goes on here. The only thing that is different is the royals from other countries. English, French, German, Swedish, etc, all these languages and history of the countries and the news from each place is making her want to pursue her desire to be a newscaster even more. She can’t help but inquire about the different lives of the royals, and what is happening in her country, it really is the only thing she is good at.

Benedicto “Ben” Romero | 22 | Prince of Spain | FC Tom Welling | OPEN |

When you’re born in to a family of modern day royalty you get used to special treatment. And Ben Romero was no different. It is easy to assume that being handed everything, having a father that is the King of Spain and who couldn’t forget about a face like his that drove the girls insane that he would be pretentious individual who expected life to be handed to him on a silver spoon. But, that assertion is far from the type of guy Ben is. Granted he isn’t a saint, what with his constant partying habits, hooking up with whoever he wants, but he doesn’t expect the world to revolve around him. The future King of Spain doesn’t seem to know just how much of an influence he can be on those around him. His people look to him to be an example to everyone, yet he doesn’t seem to grasp the concept. He feels that he isn’t king yet so why does he have to be this role model to everyone? He wants to enjoy his fleeting youth while he has the chance, who knows how long this will last before his father and mother pull the plug on everything he does. For the past two years, Ben has been under the radar when it comes to his parents. Their focus on their daughter, who they had hoped would marry the future King of England and secure that throne for them, but that plan didn’t work out. The young English prince called off the marriage and his family has been trying to pick up the pieces of that mess and secure another throne for their family. The Spanish royals have always been power hungry, looking for any possible match to raise their status, increase their land, and by any means.
His parents have seen the way that girls stare at their son, seeing the advantage in having a good looking son who is eligible. Ben is now a pawn in his parents plan to secure land, alliances, and anything else with other countries. Everything Ben had known, his friends, the places he visited, were ripped out from under him.  His parents no longer looking over everything with a blind eye, but now focusing on him like a hawk that is after its prey. Ben has had to clean up his act, no more parties, no more one night stands, he had to be seen as the future King of Spain and not some spoiled rich kid. Pushed into charity events, galas, and meetings with his father’s advisors, Ben can already feel his youth slipping through his fingers faster than he would want it to.
Ben has spent all this time building up his image for the public, making him out to be the kind hearted guy that is under the layers of press about him partying. It is a complete transformation from the guy he once was only 5 months ago. No longer are nights spent out in the wee hours of the morning at clubs, well most of them, but now he is found traveling on his father’s behalf for different engagements. He has been gone from Ivory Rose for around a year, people would hardly recognize the young, dapper man they now see in front of them. People question if his change is truly sincere, that he really has given up the parties and the girls. Only his time at ivory will reveal if he really is ready to give up his adventure filled life or will he enjoy another year of the bliss before reparations are met.

Amanda Wilson | 22 | Lady of  Scotland | FC Kate Mara | OPEN  |   Amanda always had to work hard throughout her life. Her parents never gave her anything they didn’t think she needed or she deserved to get. They thought spending money on luxurious things that they didn’t need was just ridiculous, who needs luxury when you have the world around you. You call Amanda’s life one that was spent out on the Scottish country side, hair blowing throw her long locks with just acres of luscious green land for miles. That is where the true wealth lied in her parents’ eyes. It was in the people, the land, the earth, not in some jewels, fancy attire or other valuable things. Her family tree is not one that is filled with wealthy barons, baronesses, ladies, lords or any other tiles of nobility. The Wilson line is filled of farmers, shepherds, and tradesmen. These were people who worked day and night to earn a living, built them selves up from the straps of their shoes and managed to make a name for themselves.
It was maybe around a hundred years ago that her family became Lord and Ladies, one of her male ancestors saved a young Lady’s life while she was out riding her horse. The father of the Lady was entirely in that young man’s debt that he had his daughter marry him, thus how the Wilson family was able to have a title to their name. Amanda understands the value of a dollar, how it shouldn’t be just spent on anything and that it should go towards things you either need and not want or towards those who truly need it.
Amanda has lived her entire life on the country side in Scotland. She has grown up with those who do not have a title to their name, but are exactly what her ancestors were. Though her family does have the nicest home around those parts, her family always welcomes those who are in need of a place to stay and is always working with the community.  Her years of schooling have been spent off at a St. George’s School for Girls in Edinburg, Scotland (a boarding school), later going to attend college at Cardonald College. Amanda now finds herself attending Ivory Rose Academy upon her family’s wishes. Amanda is already good with the people of her land, it was now time that she was able to associate with lords, ladies, dukes, duchesses, and future kings and queens.  While some parents tend to send their children to Ivory for a possible marriage, that isn’t the case with Amanda. She is already married, and only seeks to establish friendships with those around her.

Charles Ven de Velde| 22 |  Prince of Belgium | FC Shia Labeouf | OPEN
Charles is the goofball of the family always the one to crack a joke or pull a few simple pranks here and there. He is also one of the more loyal Ven de Velde’s, having kept his friendships with a few close people all his life. Charles has a passion for music just like his older brother and is seen hanging out in the band room drumming away on the drums or occasionally playing the guitar. He has an infectious persona that cannot help but draw you in and he is the best brother, boyfriend or friend you could possibly ask for. As the middle child the press really didn’t take note of him until he started being photographed with girls from his school. These were people he had known for ages, but suddenly once he grew up and seemed to look almost like a completely different person did they start to take notice. Paparazzi began to follow him, wondering what the middle Belgium royal would do. Would he be like his brother? Or would he be more like his younger sister?  The newfound attention was unexpected and a little unnerving at first, he didn’t know what to think of the press hounding him about his friendships and relationship status instead of them just glancing over him.

Charles became more careful when it came to the watching eyes of the world around him. He tried to keep his life as normal as possible, especially when it came to his friendships and relationships. He didn’t want someone dating him merely because of his title or the fact that they would be featured on a cover of a newspaper. He didn’t want to be used by others so he was wary when it came to those who seemed to take a more apparent interest in him now. Charles has always had a core group of friends, ones that he knew he could count on and wouldn’t try to  further their own time in the spotlight by hanging out with him. One of his dear friends is Adelasia De Luca. He has always had a crush on the Italian Princess. Seeing her as someone who was both beautiful on the inside and the outside. He loved the way he could easily talk to her and how she had this spark for life.   A few months ago his parents had told him of the possibility of an arranged marriage, as the dutiful son he had to agree to it even if his heart was set on finally going to ask Lasia out. Little does this prince know that his bothered is none other than the girl he has been pining for. Charles is unaware of who his bride to be is and plans on keeping that detail of his life a secret from Lasia. What happens when down the road both him and Lasia discover they are to be wed in a year? The marriage papers have been signed by both families, arrangements are being made, and neither of them know this is even happening. Charles does have strong feelings for Lasia and the fact that he has an arranged marriage is making him want to let his feelings known to her. Even if they can’t be together at least she will know that he always saw her as more than just one of the boys.

Dylan Everhart | 27 | Choir Teacher/Glee Club | FC: Scarlett Johansson |OPEN|
Dylan Everhart grew up watching her parents perform on Broadway. She can remember being four years old in the back and watching her mother put on costume make and the outfit she would wear for a show, and how she would sing on the stage. It was something that slowly became a dream for her as she was growing up. Dyland knew that she wanted to be a part of the same thing her parents were doing. She knew that she could achieve this dream of hers, because her parents were so well known on Broadway in New York City. However, her parents at first did not want their only child taking part in the same shows that they were doing.  It took Dylan  months  before her parents would even allow her to finally take part in a show. At the time she was only eight years old and while she loved every minute of it. But, her parents wanted her to focus on more school and her grades than just some dream that she had at the time. She knew that she wanted to be different from everyone else and at the time being only eight years old she wanted something that would set her apart from other people. At the age of eight, a young Dylan made a pact with her parents that if she achieved high marks throughout her classes, and maintained these grades they would allow her to receive voice lessons and to audition for shows on broadway. Dylan kept her grades up and her parents kept to their promise. Dyland received private vocal lessons from one of the best in New York and after a year with the training she auditioned for her first show. She landed a small part in The King & I and after her first performance she was hooked. Dyland lived for life on the stage, she loved the costumes, the inner workings, but she especially loved to sing. The way a voice amplified and carried throughout the theatre was something she always loved to hear. Dylan made it her goal to be like the famous broadway singers she saw either in her parent’s shows or when she attended different shows with her parents. She had inherited the song bird voice and wanted to perfect her vocal range. Dylan kept bugging her parents to allow her to audition for more shows, but they felt that their daughter needed to focus more on her schooling so she could have something to fall back on if broadway or even becoming a professional singer, a road they thought she would take, did not work out. They new that the life of a broadway star was something that took a lot of time and work, and wasn’t something that was attainable for everyone. But, Dylan had the determination and drive to continue after her dreams. She met everyday after school with her vocal instructor, and auditioned for local musicals around where she lived and at her school. Her parents may have said that she couldn’t keep auditioning for broadway at her age, but she sought to be apart of that life but on a much lower scale. Her parents continue to thrive on broadway, often being gone for months at a time due to traveling which left Dylan in the care of her two her grandparents. The music gene that runs through her veins is something that has been passed down to almost every Everhart. Her grandmother was a Jazz singer in the 1920s and her grandfather was the one who played the piano for her grandmother Itza whenever she performed. It was music and sharing the stage together that ultimately brought her grandparents together and it was the same thing with her parents. They met on the stage and are still on it together.    Dylan excelled in school. Being instilled at a young age that hard work is the best way to make your dreams come true helped her to graduate at the top of her class when she finished high school. Known at her high school as the theatre, choir, and glee club girl, Dylan spent her extra curricular activities in the arts, especially music. Involved in Honors Choir and the Jazz Band, Dylan was always picked to sing lead on the songs and perform solos. The more she was picked for solos and leads, the more her peers started to resent her. The caddy girls who thought that just because they were pretty meant they should get all the spot light began to ridicule Dylan, trying to knock her down and make her feel terrible about herself. There were times when Dylan had come home crying as young Freshmen from all the negative things that the girls were saying to her. Her parents and grandparents were there to coax her and tell her that those who are jealous of a raw gift try to knock the talented down in order to build themselves up.  She started ignoring what the girls said, noticing how when she didn’t say anything back they seemed to move on and forget about her. Throughout middle school and high school, Dylan was focused on her vocal training, choir, glee club, and anything that would help with her vocal range and tone. She was involved in her school musicals but that was the extent of her drama performances. It wasn’t until she attended Julliard that she once again began to audition for shows on Broadway and off it. Being on stage was something she had always loved and she always had the fondest of memories from watching her parents perform each night on the stage. Music was still her number one priority in her life, and broadway managed to find  a more permanent place in her life. Dylan finished her years at Julliard by being involved in the almost every music program offered, staring in three broadway shows, and being able to participate in show cases for her school that showed off the cream of the crop.  Her degree is in music and as much as she loves being on the stage, she also wishes to help those who have a dream or aspire to be on broadway or have something to do with the music industry get the chance to live out those hopes and dreams. Besides teaching at Ivory, she performs at different events, whether they be weddings, ceremonies, etc, and can be found singing at different lounges. Dylan has only been in London for about a year, but already she is taking the music scene here by storm. She is currently working with a long time friend on opening up a recording studio where she hopes to one day produce her own album and other people’s. For now she is dedicated to her teaching, and everything else is a side thing for her at the moment.

Cyrena Pavlou | Princess of Cyprus | 18 | FC Saoirse Ronan |OPEN|

After the tragedy occurred, Cyrena wasn’t affected in any way. Her family had always been out of the ordinary with her. Cyrena always came second with them, as if she didn’t exist. Her She figured that this could be an opportunity to start over, to have people rely on her. Cyrena was already a very outgoing girl, open to meeting new people and being comfortable when she was surrounded by those she had only just met.
Ever since she was a young girl, Cyrena tried her hardest to be the best. She’d always thought that if she was the best that she would have more attention paid to her out of her two siblings. It was hard being the youngest and just having every eye glance over you and not give a second look towards you. Usually, it is the baby of the family who gets the most attention, in her case she was like a ghost. Constantly drifting the halls of her home, keeping to herself most of the time, and trying just about anything to get her parents to notice her. She drew on the walls to get their attention, but they would just hand her off to one of the nannies and go about giving their affections to their son and elder daughter. Cyrena began to loathe her brother and sister, she couldn’t even be in the same room as them when they were small children, but she soon found out that her sister also seemed to be having the same experience. The two began to bond and her elder sister became someone Cyrena could confide in and talk to without her words being ignore. Everything that happened to her caused her to have a tough exterior.  Throughout her early school years, Cyrena was a middle grounder. She wasn’t cool but she wasn’t lame either. She never knew who she was or where she fit in. A lot of the time, she thought that she didn’t really fit in anywhere. Since her brother’s death, Cyrena didn’t have to search for a place to fit in. She was thrown into her position and that’s who she was. She’s just trying to grasp the concept of her parent’s attention towards her. It is just so new and different that she finds herself retreating away from it. If you spent almost your whole life not receiving any acknowledgment from your parents, it is hard not treating them the same way they treated you.
Coming to Ivory this year is an adjustment for her. She is use to the whole boarding routine, spending enough years away from home to grow use to it, but being surrounded by royals is different. Cyrena is use to attending school with everyday people, she was able to connect better with them because they had no responsibility and neither did she. They all came from families who were either too busy to spend time with their child or just give them any love. But here Cyrena sees actual love for the children of royals. These royals weren’t sent away because their parents had little time for them, no they were sent here because their parents wanted them to be great, and to be able to one take the throne from them when the time came.  She enjoys her time wandering around the grounds and sitting down by the water. She finds refuge in the school’s pool. It is the one place where she can truly think and where she feels most calm. People often joke that she is like a fish out of water. Terrible when it comes to royal duties, but talk to her about swimming, the ocean, and anything remotely normal and she knows how to reply. Ask her about her family’s history or history of other monarchies and she’ll just look at you with a blank expression.
